About
Transparency Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public understanding of whistleblowing and its vital role in modern business, governance, and institutional accountability. Whistleblowers often identify risks, misconduct, fraud, safety failures, retaliation, and ethical breakdowns before those issues become public crises. By raising awareness of their contributions, Transparency Collective works to reframe whistleblowing not as disloyalty, but as a necessary safeguard for healthier organizations, better decision-making, and the public interest.
We provide a safe, confidential forum for whistleblowers, prospective whistleblowers, and the people who support them. Speaking up can be isolating, frightening, and professionally risky, especially when individuals are unsure whom to trust or what consequences may follow. Transparency Collective exists to create a respectful space where people can share experiences, learn from one another, access practical guidance, and find community without fear of exposure or judgment.
Transparency Collective also seeks to reduce one of the greatest barriers whistleblowers face: the financial burden of defending themselves and pursuing their rights. Legal fees can quickly become overwhelming, particularly for individuals who have lost employment, income, or professional standing after reporting wrongdoing. Through financial support for qualified legal expenses, Transparency Collective helps whistleblowers stand on more equal footing, protect their rights, and continue the difficult work of bringing important truths to light.
